With the update today, a way to buy the unlock for the siege turtle collection (s) will be added. Most of it is straightforward even for the 'spam 1' players, but there's about to be a massive influx of people trying to play the Kaineng Overlook strike. The wiki page for the mission is still far from detailed.

Posted March 14, 2022. There still is no turtle mount button. I have the turtle, and love gw2 in general, but wow the fact that this mount was all over their marketing but then they made such a big oops by not even adding a keybind option is a massive oversight and frankly embaressing that it wasn't fixed right away.

This is fine for other mounts. However for the turtle it is made for combat and therefore should be available to mount while you're in combat rather than running away and then coming back. I don't see this change as being disruptive to gameplay either as the turtle itself is not especially powerful.
