On the 24th of September 2020, Valve officially updated L4D2 with The Last Stand Update.This update added content but also removed content. A lot of harmless tricks that used to be possible for years have been blatantly obliterated and will most likely never be a thing again unless you deliberately play an older version of the game.

I actually tried a pub game of no mercy yesterday and I got to the the 3rd map with no client time out. It kinda makes it sound like it could have something to do with those custom map errors, considering I've only gotten timed out while playing custom maps. I play VS the most. I am looking for a good solid team (or just random friends) to play with occasionally in the afternoons. I am also looking to expand my game types, maybe try a few downloaded maps in campaign or friends only/team versus. Been wanting to get the last two achievements on my list. I have hundreds of hours under my belt. .
